What an awesome weekend!

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 13, 2008, 7:39 PM
Several things happened this weekend that have made it spectacular.

First and foremost, I’ve reached a milestone in my quest to lose weight: I’m at the 25% mark! That’s right; I’ve has lost one-quarter of the planned amount of weight I want to lose. When I reach 100%, and tell you just how much weight I’ve lost total.

Secondly, I’ve acquired several computers the company I work for was planning to toss out. They’re slow…many of them don’t have any RAM, and some just don’t plain work. But I believe I can get at least half of them to run, and will create a render-farm with them once I’ve gotten them up and running.

Mrs. Plume along with our daughter are up in Washington DC visiting family, so I have another week alone this summer. I’m gunna try and get those PC’s up and running. :-)

Meanwhile, I posted another render as I learn more and more about the innards of Blender. It’s kinda crude, but I had fun making it. (And fun is why I’m doing it in the first place!) I also created my first animation! Nothing worth posting, but it worked!

Oh well…Back to work. (Not that I mind…I LOVE my job!)

This is purely for me…for the fun of it. My ultimate goal is to be able to render pictures so realistic that nobody will believe that they’re not photographs.

My first book should arrive tomorrow!

I'm starting out on my own (if you can call having the entire internet "on your own." ;-))

I'm waiting on amazon.com to deliver my first "how to" book... should arrive any day now.

ED-209 was one of my all-time faves! I've just started getting into computer-generated modeling, and find your work incredable!

Can't wait to learn more!!

Hey. Thanks for your interest and support of my work on Robocop Models. Good to see another fan of the movies… 3D and vector renders seem to really bring them back with the level of details that is almost impossible to see in the movie without studying every frame… I am glad you like them.
